What is the best path to take in fable 3? (Tyrant or benevolent ruler?)?

I just beat fable 3 (yay!) and choose to be a good leader. I knew it was everyone was going to die, but i didn't know they wouldn't be going to be replaced. So now i started a new game (since i cant buy or sell ANYTHING as a good guy, or get married since all the town are ghost towns) and i was wondering if i should be a tyrant? or is being the good guy the better choice?
