Just the two of us for Christmas - what to do?

My husband & I got married in 2006 and moved far away from our families about a year ago, for work and for the experience. Unfortunately, my husband has to work a few days during the week of Christmas and we weren't able to make the trip home. So, it's just the two of us this Christmas - our first Christmas ever away from our families. I'm pretty homesick but my husband is okay. What are some things we can do to make Christmas special and not lonely or homesick-y, even though it's just the two of us?
