My cars making chugging noises and the whole car jolts in sinc with engine, sounds like it will stall plz help?

i have an old volvo its making chugging noises and the whole car jolts in sync with engine when running, sounds like it will stall and it doesn't accelerate with as much power as it did, can anyone plz help?
