I would think that you just had a minor sprain. Anything else, and you would have required a lot of rest and possibly crutches. I would suggest that you get an ankle brace for your basketball tournament. Before the tournament, use ice on any swelling three times a day for 15 to 20 minutes. Elevate your ankle whilst sitting in a chair or lying in bed. Do not overstretch your ankle. Flexing and extending your foot a little each day will help strengthen your ankle again.
